Why D3 and K2 Must Work Together

Vitamin D3 increases calcium absorption from the gut — but without Vitamin K2, that calcium can accumulate in soft tissues and arteries rather than being directed to bones and teeth. Vitamin K2 (as Menaquinone) activates osteocalcin, the protein that binds calcium into bone matrix, and activates Matrix Gla Protein (MGP), which prevents calcium from depositing in arterial walls. This is why D3 and K2 are most effective when taken together — D3 increases calcium availability, K2 ensures it goes to the right place. At 2000 IU, this formula provides a clinically relevant D3 dose for individuals with insufficient sun exposure or dietary intake.*

How to Use
